An initial amount of P80,000 reward money has been offered to anyone who can provide information that would lead to the capture of Police Corporal Roger Rubio and alleged gambling lord, Tomacino Aledro, Negros Oriental Provicial Police Office (NOPPO) Chief PCol. Juan Entoma announced Monday (November 11).

The two wanted personalities are facing murder charges in connection with the killing of Dumaguete City-based radio commentator Dindo Generoso.

Entoma said he recieved orders from Regional Director P/BGen. Val de Leon to strictly focus on establishing “air-tight” evidence against the mastermind in Generoso’s murder.

According to Entoma, the reward money came from a concerned citizen.

He said the amount could be raised as more people are expressing support for the immediate capture of the suspects.

Five tracker teams have been mobilized to find and arrest the suspects.

Generoso was ambushed and killed by a riding-in-tandem on November 7, 2019 on board his car while on his way to work at the DYEN-FM Bai Radio 96.7 station in Barangay Piapi, Dumaguete City.

Generoso was reportedly a hard-hitting commentator and the Presidential Task Force on Media Security earlier said that an influential local politician could be the mastermind behind his killing. — MNP (with details from Lea Ylagan)
