Jake Cuenca denies rumored link to Cedric Lee

[caption id="attachment_89239" align="alignright" width="270"] Jake Cuenca[/caption] Actor Jake Cuenca has denied link to businessman Cedric Lee following talks that the former supposedly had a brush with the latter before. The speculation came out days after Lee was identified as one of the alleged assailants of “It’s Showtime” host Vhong Navarro on Jan. 22. “Hindi ko siya kilala. I've never even heard of his name until lumabas nga ’yung issue sa kanila ni Vhong. I didn't even know his name (before that),” Cuenca was quoted as saying in a report on ABS-CBN News. Cuenca thinks people have wrongly pointed at Lee as the alleged figure behind an incident in 2009 when unidentified men threw stones and shot at the actor’s green Ford Expedition car. “I think they're mistaking this issue with that issue I had na nabaril 'yung kotse ko a long time ago. Until this day, hindi ko rin alam kung sino gumawa niyan… If anything, he expressed support for Navarro over his legal battle with Lee’s camp. “Kaibigan ko si Vhong, so I'm standing... whatever support he needs, nandito ako for him kasi kaibigan ko siya. Kuya ko si Vhong, eh. When I started in ABS, mga una kong kaibigan sa ABS si Vhong talaga.” [caption id="attachment_89240" align="alignleft" width="180"] David Bunevacz (davidbunevacz.com)[/caption] Meanwhile, Lee’s former business partner David Bunevacz, has aired his side relating to Vhong’s issue that hogged headlines last week. Recall that Lee was alleged to have had a violent encounter with Bunevacz in 2007. “What happened to Vhong is not the first time such a crime had been committed,” claimed Bunevacz. “It is clear that evil deeds are being exposed. I pray that this will be the last time that it will happen.”
