James Reid's trip to South Korea sparks speculation about K-pop collabs

James Reid is currently travelling in South Korea, amid rumors that he might be collaborating with artists in the country.

It appears that the Filipino-Australian actor-singer is there not merely for a vacation, as he's been seen with GOT7 member BamBam and singer Chancellor, as well as turned up at the office of Korean music label Starship Entertainment.

A video was posted on Instagram by 천우 MARK (@porksterr), in which both BamBam and James Reid's hands are seen.

It's not the first time Reid has been linked to boy band GOT7 – he had previously worn Mark Tuan's merchandise and collaborated with Jay B and ØZI for the song “Hello 2.0 (Legends Only)”.

As you know, Reid co-founded record label Careless Music. There was also excitement when Jeffrey Oh, CEO of Careless Music Philippines, shared a group photo featuring Reid and Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano at Korean music label Starship Entertainment.

Starship is home to K-pop groups MONSTA X and IVE.

Fans therefore speculated that Careless Music and Starship might embark on a collaboration.

Last but not least, Reid met Korean-American singer-songwriter Chancellor at his studio.

Chancellor is managed by Konnect Entertainment, which was founded by K-pop star Kang Daniel. Fans also anticipated the likelihood of a collab between Reid and Konnect.
