James Yap Hints At New Girl In Life, Keeps Mum On 'Check' Issue

MANILA, Philippines - James Yap is dating again but he is not about to divulge her identity. "Relax ka lang, darating din tayo d'yan," he told Spin.ph in a recent interview. "Makikilala niyo rin siya."

Prior, the cager was rumored to have been dating an Italian-Australian stunner -- cited among reasons for his supposed vacation in Milan, Italy last month -- but he wasn't keen on confirming nor denying this.

The 30-year old is as secretive about his plans on Valentine's Day. Obviously, Yap would rather that he kept his personal life private, and this goes even to close friends and associates.

"Very silent siya, kasi mas gusto niya pag-usapan siya as a basketball player dahil 'yun naman talaga siya eh," Reena del Mundo, San Mig Coffee marketing head, was quoted in the same interview.

"Napakalihim niyan pagdating sa private life niya," added teammate Jerwin Gaco.

Yap's marriage to TV host Kris Aquino was annulled last December. The relationship lasted five years. The ex couple have a son, James Junior.

Just recently, Aquino made headlines after tweeting about her "blues" that had something to do about signing checks in the millions that Yap supposedly "got."

The cager kept mum on the matter, maintaining that he doesn't want to further cause controversy by reacting through media.

Meanwhile, a recent garage sale that Yap conducted, which had personal items as clothes and shoes, was a big hit among fans.

According to Yap, he plans to share the earnings to an unnamed charity.
