Ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Vickie Rushton and actor Jason Abalos married in San Antonio de Padua Parish in Tagaytay on Thursday (September 1), after 10 years of being together.

Rushton, donning an elegant dress made by Filipino designer Francis Libiran, said it was “one of the best things that happened in 2021.”

Meanwhile, the actor-turned-Nueva Ecija board member wore an embroidered barong by Libiran as well.

Habambuhay ko pasasalamatan ang Panginoon sa buhay mo Baba,” Abalos said in June when he shared the news of their engagement.

(I will forever thank the Lord for your life, Baba [Vickie].)

Being a Nueva Ecija local politician, he also shared that he chose Pantabangan as the site of their prenuptial photoshoot.

(The old town of Pantabangan was submerged in water after a Hydroelectric Powerplant was built there during the time of President Marcos [Sr.]. Farmers lost their land, which was their primary source of living. Nearby farming communities were irrigated, and were able to supply the electricity needed by the country.]

He said that he wanted to use his prenuptial photoshoot as his own way of promoting local tourism in one of the areas in his province with the most spectacular view.

[A]ng tanging maaasahan ng mga kababayan ko ay ang palakasin ang turismo. Kaya iniimbitahan ko kayong lahat sa aming bayan,” he said.

(My constituents are relying on strengthening local tourism for their living. I’m inviting you all to see the beauty of our province.)

Nice Print Photography and Exige Weddings gave a glimpse of their wedding on their social media.
