JO employee arrested for shabu in Tagbilaran

A JOB order (JO) employee was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas in a buy-bust operation in Purok 6, Sitio Doldol, Barangay Ubujan, Tagbilaran City, Bohol at 6:55 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Leia Alcantara, spokesperson of PDEA-Central Visayas, identified the suspect as Cirilo V. Pitos, 45, a resident of the area.

Pitos is an electrician and driver at a slaughterhouse managed by the Tagbilaran City Government.

PDEA-Central Visayas was accompanied by the Bohol Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Tagbilaran Police Station during the conduct of the arrest.

Seized from Pitos was shabu with a standard drug price of P40,800.

Alcantara said PDEA-Central Visayas monitored the movement of the suspect for two weeks before conducting the operation.

The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (JGS)
