Dame Joan Collins doesn't regret her abortion at the age of 26, saying she believes a baby would have brought about "the death of my career" at that time.

The 88-year-old acting veteran told Piers Morgan on his latest episode of Life Stories — due to air on Sunday night — that she stood by the decision she made more than six decades ago.

The procedure too place at a time when abortions were illegal in the UK, prior to the 1967 Abortion Act passing through Parliament.
