Jogger Visits Secluded 'Green Sand' Beach in Hawaii

A jogger visited the secluded Papakolea Beach in Hawaii, famous for its green-colored sand, and filmed drone footage of the area, sharing it to YouTube on May 2.

The green color of the sand, according to, is caused by the presence of olivine, a “semi-precious” green mineral.

The footage was captured by vlogger Kawika Singson, who regularly posts footage showing some of the natural wonders seen around Hawaii’s landscape, and off its shores. Credit: Kawika Singson via Storyful
