Fans of the Property Brothers know Drew and Jonathan Scott as home renovation experts who create dream homes for families and people who've had an impact on celebrities. But filming entertaining TV is not the only thing they're passionate about. Along with their home improvement shows, they've also taken on a bunch of other creative ventures, including a lifestyle magazine, a home line, and children's books. And now, Jonathan can add another role his extensive resume: Today, he took to social media to announce his first-ever documentary, sharing a preview of the film.

"This is a story about corruption that I fell into, but quickly learned that it needs to be told," Jonathan writes in the caption of the post. "I invested three years of my life to help people understand where our energy comes from, why it matters, and who is trying to take away your rights. My hope is it helps us come together and work for a better energy future for all."

The documentary, which is titled Jonathan Scott’s Power Trip, follows Jonathan as he travels across the country to find out why renewable energy isn't available to everyone. On his journey to learn about the barriers and opportunities to providing clean energy, he meets with farmers, coal workers, and the Navajo Nation that built a solar plant. He also talks with religious leaders "who made a desperate attempt to help meet their community’s energy needs," the documentary description reads. Plus, he sits down with the politicians involved in the fight for clean energy.

Jonathan Scott’s Power Trip premiers on Monday, November 16 on PBS. You can also stream the film thanks to these virtual screenings.
