9 Sep – Julia Barretto is not fond of speaking about the challenges she went through last year, especially since there are a lot of other people having more difficulties than her right now.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress who was asked about the previous scandal, in which she was accused of being the third party that led to Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson's breakup, stated that she felt awkward when the topic is mentioned.
"When I'm asked, 'How did you handle?' It's like there are more people we should be asking that question because of the way they just survive things, especially now just watching what other people are going through," she said.
Barretto stated that there are people who have died, some who are sick, and many who lost jobs.
"Some people have nothing to eat on the table. That's much worse than what I went through last year," she said.
The actress stated that she is still young, and that there will be bigger challenges ahead for her as a woman.
"For me, at that time, okay this is the battle I'm facing now but you just gotta get moving until the next one. It's not the end of the world," she added.
