Fans of Julia Montes expressed their excitement over her long-awaited return to television on Twitter.

According to Deo Endrinal of Dreamscape Entertainment, Julia Montes will star alongside former onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend Coco Martin in the hit Kapamilya teleserye (TV series) "Ang Probinsyano".

On Instagram, Deo said the actress will play Coco’s leading lady and appear on the show for its sixth anniversary this September. “Welcome to FPJAP, @montesjulia08,” Deo wrote.

The reported celebrity couple first collaborated in the 2012 drama Walang Hanggan, and they also appeared together in Wansapanataym's Yamashita's Treasures in 2015.

Julia will be joined by veteran actors including Rosanna Roces and Vangie Labalan who will also be part of Ang Probinsyano.

Rumors about Julia and Coco sharing the small screen first made rounds when they were spotted visiting a gun store together.

Julia and Coco have been linked for a long time, but neither of them has confirmed the reports. The actors also did a lock-in taping in Pola, Oriental Mindoro, for another project under the direction of famed filmmaker Brillante Mendoza.

In 2018, Julia took a break from the industry to spend time with her father in Germany.

Two years later, Julia appeared in the series 24/7, but it was short-lived because the show was canceled owing to the pandemic and the rejection of ABS-CBN's franchise renewal bid.

The actress was also set to star alongside Nadine Lustre in the action drama Burado, unfortunately, the show was canceled in August 2020 because of pandemic restrictions.
