While it seems the world is obsessed with Kim Kardashian's blossoming romance with Saturday Night Live host Pete Davidson, Kanye West took to the mic at Los Angeles Mission's Annual Thanksgiving event last night to publicly discuss his marriage to Kim.
According to People, the rapper said, "The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships.
"We've made mistakes. I've made mistakes. I've publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason — I didn't know I was going to be in front of this mic — but I'm here to change the narrative."
Kanye continued,"If the enemy can separate Kimye, there's going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is okay… but when God brings Kimye together, there's going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced to see that they can overcome the work of the separation, of trauma the devil has used to capitalize to keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store."
It's not the first time Kanye has publicly spoken out about his marriage to Kim. Earlier this year, during an interview on Revolt TV's Drink Champs, Kanye referenced Kim's hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, saying, "SNL making my wife say 'I divorced him' on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off," he said, adding, "And I ain't never even see the papers, we not even divorced."
He added that the divorce was "no joke to me," and said that the pair's children, North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 3, "want their parents to stay together."
Kanye then went onto say that he believes the media doesn't want the pair to work out their problems, adding, "I want us to be together."
