KAYA FC-Iloilo retained the services of midfielder Dylan De Bruycker and Japanese winger Daizo Horikoshi after giving them new contracts to play for the club.
The 23-year-old De Bruycker signed a new contract last week, while Horikoshi re-signed with the club this week.
De Bruycker, a Filipino-Belgian, has played for Club Brugge, Davao Aguilas and Ceres Negros FC before signing with Kaya FC in 2020. He had four appearances in the shortened Philippines Football League (PFL).
The 24-year-old Horikoshi initially signed with Kaya FC in 2020 and had eight appearances for the club. He also played for Alibrex Niigata Singapore.
Kaya FC recently lost midfielder Jayson Panhay, who announced his retirement from professional football. The 33-year-old Panhay, a product of University of St. La Salle-Bacolod, played for four seasons with Kaya FC.
Kaya FC is looking to bolster its roster as it hopes to qualify for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.
Kaya FC faces three-time A-League champion Brisbane Roar on April 7, 2021. The winner of the preliminary match moves on to the playoff stage against Beijing FC on April 14. The winner of that playoff stage match will advance to the Group Stage of the tournament and will join BG Pathum United, Ulsan Hyudai FC and Viettel FC.
