27 May – KC Concepcion recently admitted that it was her struggle with PCOS that hindered her from taking a lot of entertainment projects in recent months.

As reported on Rappler, the actress shared about her said health condition in an interview with Tim Yap on his online show, saying that her condition caused her to gain weight.

"I always wanted to be at my best, I want to be physically fit, and I want to look good, I want to get my body tight. When I look good, I feel good and that's what you serve people on screen. It's as simple as that," she said.

PCOS, or Polycystic ovary syndrome, is a hormonal disorder that may affect a woman's overall health and appearance. It is also a common and treatable cause of infertility, according to Women's Health.

Concepcion, who signed with Cornerstone Entertainment back in February, stated that she wants to be very open about her condition, and has been getting a lot of guidance from her doctor.

"I know a lot of women who have it. It's quite common in a way but not a lot of people talk about it. That's something I want to talk about in depth later on in the future because I don't think right now is the time. I still don't have enough information about it," she said.

As for now, the actress said that she is focusing on her jewellery line, Avec Moi, as well as preparing to revive KC's Closet - where she sells her pre-loved items for charity.
