Kim Kardashian listens to break up song after filing for divorce from Kanye West
Last week, Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West. After a lengthy period of speculation, TMZ reported that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians lawyer-in-residence, Laura Wasser, finally filed the papers.
According to TMZ, Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their four children: North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, one.
While neither Kim nor Kanye have publicly addressed the news, Kim did appear to hint at it with a video she posted to her Instagram Stories on Monday. As she's making her way to Kris Jenner's Palm Springs home to celebrate her BFF Jonathan Cheban's birthday, she's listening to a breakup song - Drivers License by Olivia Rodrigo - which debuted at No.1 in the UK Charts earlier this year.
Kim captioned the latter part of the video with ' πͺππ€π€π€π πͺ' and, nope, we've got no idea what it means either.
The lyrics might give us some insight though, as Kim shared the part of the song that says: "All my friends are tired / Of hearing how much I miss you /but I kinda feel sorry for them / Cause theyβll never know you the way that I do, yeah.
"Today I drove through the suburbs / And pictured I was driving home to you / And I know we werenβt perfect / But Iβve never felt this way for no one, oh / And I just canβt imagine how you could be so okay, now that Iβm gone / I guess you didnβt mean what you wrote in that song about me."
According to TMZ, Kanye is 'fine' with the custody agreement and while there is a prenup in place, neither party intends to contest it.
We're wishing both Kim and Kanye all the best.
