FILIPINO pug Eugene Lagos suffered a devastating loss in the United States after getting knocked out in the third round by unbeaten Italian prospect Michael Magnesi last Nov. 11, 2021 at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York.

Magnesi rocked Lagos with a right hook. He followed it up with a left straight-right hook combination that dropped Lagos to the canvas.

The referee waved off the fight in the 1:56 mark of the third round.

This was Lagos’ first fight in more than two years. He last saw action in the Philippines back in 2019, wherein he knocked out Michael Padayag in the first round. Lagos has fought the likes of Petch CP Freshmart, Mike Tawatchai, Emilio Sanchez and Ray Ximenez.

The 26-year-old Lagos, now based in the US, dropped to 16-6-3, while Magnesi remained undefeated and improved to 20-0 with 12 knockouts.
