Lapu-Lapu City vaccination program will have four phases:
• Phase 1: Frontliners and healthcare workers will be the city's top priority for the vaccine.
• Phase 2: Drivers of public transportation and market vendors will be able to acquire the vaccine.
• Phase 3: Persons with Disabilities and indigents will be given the vaccine.
• Phase 4: Members of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology will be given the vaccine.
The vaccine will be administered to individuals aged 18 to 59.
Chan asked his constituents to continue following health protocols even if the vaccine is already available. He also urged everyone to be vaccinated for added protection against the virus.
He assured the Oponganon that the Sinovac vaccine is safe as it was already given an emergency use authorization by the Food and Drug Administration.
Around 600,000 doses of donated Sinovac vaccine from the People’s Republic of China arrived in the Philippines on Feb. 28, 2021
On March 2, 2021, 7,200 doses of CoronaVac from China arrived at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, which is intended for VSMMC health care workers. (RSR)
