LAPU-LAPU City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan is expected to revamp the city’s department heads during his second term.

Chan, who had been reelected as mayor in the city, said the move aims to give a speedy government service to its constituents.

"Paghatag og paspas nga pag-serbisyo sa mga tawo asa siya epektibo nga departamento nato ibutang," he said when asked for the reason for his plan to reshuffle the department heads.

Chan further said that his second term would be more on the implementation of projects, which is why he has to revamp and designate them as to where they can be more effective.

He, however, said only a few and not all department heads will be reshuffled probably in the first week of July.

Chan mentioned Engr. Perla Amar, the officer-in-charge of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), whom he plans to transfer to the City Engineering Office as he believed she has the potential to effectively lead the office. (MKG)
