Last suspect in rob-slay of Baringui-an couple falls

THE fifth and last suspect in the robbery and killing of the Baringui-an couple in Sitio Tapok-tapok, Barangay Panadtaran, San Fernando town has been arrested by the police.

Police Regional Office (PRO 7) Director Brigadier General Roque Eduardo Vega announced in his press statement that his subordinates arrested Police Master Sergeant Alvin Enad after serving the warrant on Thursday, August 11, 2022, which was issued by Presiding Judge Bracero Redoble of Carcar City Regional Trial Court Branch 77 for his robbery with double homicide case.

Enad was arrested by the operatives of the Regional Intelligence Division in Central Visayas and Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group Visayas Field Unit.

Vega considered the case solved following Enad's arrest.

Enad's colleagues have already surrendered to the police days after the incident.

They are Police Staff Sergeant Rene Abella Catamora, Police Staff Sergeant Junrey Papaya Ypil, and Police Staff Sergeant Junrey Batobalonos, and former police officer Esmeraldo Obleanda Quillosa.

Maria Louela Baringui-an, councilor of Barangay Balungag, San Fernando and her husband Peter were gunned down in their house on the night of February 13, 2022.

Their children and bodyguards were unharmed.

The suspects carted away the couple's valuables. (BBT, TPT)
