Lito David: Legislative staff-turned-legislator

Born to a homemaker and a laborer in Tondo, Rizalito David has been struggling to succeed since he was young.

He once dreamed of becoming a priest, but his supposed sponsor died before his scheduled entry to a seminary in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Still, he touts himself as a man of science and of faith, having bagged a scholarship in the University of the Philippines Los Banos while maintaining his strong religious beliefs.

David was also an activist and has been included in the military's order of battle during martial law when he was only 19.

After graduation, he has made a career in goverment service, starting out as an academic in UPLB before becoming a community organizer and later on a planning officer at Environment department.

He has since moved to being the staff of legislators, an experience which he says he can use should he be elected a legislator himself.
