A LIVESTOCK trader was found dead inside his house in Sitio Culansehan, Barangay Lepanto, Alegria town, southwest Cebu around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Patrolman James Vincent Morales identified the victim as Ildefonso Glodove, 66, who was engaged in buying and selling of livestock and was living alone in his house.

Glodove sustained stab wounds in his back and other parts of his body that caused his death.

His relatives found him lying on his stomach on the bamboo flooring of his house on Sunday afternoon, with the pouch containing the money, which he put on his waistline already gone.

Morales said Glodove's relatives reported the incident at their station at 7:30 p.m.

"Gi-abis daw ang puntil diha sa hawak sa biktima naa didto ang kwarta," Morales said.

The police believed that the victim was preparing food for dinner in the kitchen when the suspect barged in and held him up.

The exact amount of money that the victim lost has still to be determined.

Morales believed that the crime was premeditated as the suspect knew already that the victim had a money pouch on his waistline. (GPL, TPT)
