Japanese household goods specialty store Loft has proposed a variety of lifestyles to consumers through sundries since its opening of Shibuya Loft (in Seibu Department Store in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward) in 1987 by constantly tracking and picking up the trend and atmosphere of the times based on the theme “Showcase of Time.” Since a spin-off from Seibu Department Store in 1996 as an independent business entity, Loft has sought to operate multiple stores, running as many as 131 outlets in Japan (as of the end of June 2020). With the opening of its first directly owned overseas store in Shanghai, the company sets out to show sundries of the “present time” to information-conscious and vigorous consumers of Shanghai with the key phrase “There is something. POPUP SHOP was opened in Xujiahui Loft in the first-ever collaboration between Loft and “HEYTEA,” which operates more than 400 shops in China and Singapore. There will be exclusive collaborative products based on HEYTEA’s popular drink “Mango Cheezo (mango cheese tea)” and Loft’s image colors, as well as a photo spot.
– “POPUP Pottery Market” (POPUP SHOP III)
There will be an upgraded version of the “Hasami Porcelain Market,” which is held every year at each of Loft’s stores in Japan. Various pottery goods centering on Hasami porcelain from Nagasaki Prefecture will be displayed for a limited period.
