Winter Love Island 2020 star Ollie Williams has quit the villa! In the first big drama of this series (after the twins stealing Mike and Callum, of course), the 23-year-old has decided to leave after just three days.
Explaining his decision, Ollie said in the Beach Hut: "I have to be honest with myself, and everyone, that I do still love someone else… I have to follow my heart in this scenario and it would be wrong for me to ignore these feelings."
He continued: "At the end of the day, this is Love Island and it’s about finding love. If I carried on anything with Paige, or any other girl that might come into the villa, it wouldn’t be fair on them."
Ollie, who was coupled up with Paige Turley, dated Laura Nofer, 23, for 18 months before they split last year.
His decision to leave comes as it was revealed the ITV2 show received almost 300 Ofcom complaints - and 231 of those were about Ollie.
Before he even set foot in the South African villa, Ollie was widely criticised for being the director of a business called Cornish Sporting Agency. A listing with Companies House gave the nature of the business as "hunting" and "trapping", according to Metro.co.uk.
Pictures, which have since been deleted, also emerged which allegedly showed him posing with dead animals.
