THE low pressure area (LPA) in the vicinity of Southern Leyte is expected to bring cloudy skies over Cebu but is expected to dissipate in the next 24 hours.

Based on the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa) weather forecast Tuesday, May 31, 2022, the LPA was last seen 95 kilometers east of Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

Al Quiblat, weather bureau chief of Pagasa Visayas, told SunStar Cebu that the LPA has less chance of becoming a tropical depression as it is expected to be dissolved tomorrow, June 1.

Quiblat added that the center of the LPA will not reach Cebu Island but it will bring partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with rain showers. (IRT)
