MANILA, Philippines – All transactions connected with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), except for publication and hearing of cases, will be made online starting June 16.
Labeled Public Transport Online Processing System (PTOPS), this project aims to make LTFRB-related transactions faster and more convenient.
This is also part of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) efforts to adjust to the ‘new normal’ of using technological innovations to ensure that government-imposed health protocols will be observed such as physical distancing, as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In partnership with pisoypay.com, PTOPS will allow a user to easily create an account, select the type of transaction, and schedule an appointment online with the LTFRB.
The system is now undergoing pilot testing and consultation with stakeholders until June 15 and will have its initial launching in the National Capital Region (NCR) on June 16.
