LTO 7 establishes 20 district, satellite offices in 5 years, says Caindec

THE Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO 7) has added 20 district and satellite offices in the last five years.

This was revealed by LTO 7 Director Victor Emmanuel Caindec, who listed his accomplishment for the past five years since he was appointed to his position by then President Rodrigo Duterte in January 2018.

Some of offices that LTO 7 established during Caindec’s term are the Cebu City District Office in Robinsons Galleria Cebu, Cebu City Licensing Center in SM Seaside City Cebu, Regional Office Licensing Extension (Malasakit) on N. Bacalso Avenue, rehabilitation of the former Motor Vehicle Inspection Service in Mandaue City, which used to be a warehouse where regional director holds office, the Toledo District Office Licensing Extension in Balamban town midwest Cebu, Ronda District Office in Ronda town southwest Cebu, Camotes Island Extension Office in Poro town and E-Patrol Services.

“We are very thankful to the lawmakers who sponsored the laws, the DOTr (Department of Transportation), LTO Central Office... and the LGUs (local government units) for their support because without their support we cannot accomplish this,” Caindec said in Cebuano.

Future at LTO unforeseen

Caindec also revealed that he does not know yet whether or not he will be reappointed as regional director of LTO 7, but he said he will continue to serve unless his superiors will ask him to step down.

The LTO is currently under the management of Assistant Secretary Jose Arturo Tugade of the DOTr.

Tugade, the son of former DOTr Secretary Arturo Tugade, is aiming to digitized LTO’s transactions in all of their offices nationwide, Caindec said. (PAC / TPT)
