LTO inaugurates latest plate-making facility

MANILA, Philippines —The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will open its newest plate-making facility today, 24 April 2018, coinciding with the celebration of the agency’s 106th year anniversary.

The factory is stationed at the LTO central office compound in Quezon City where it houses seven manual embossing machines that can produce 22,000 plates per day.

Meanwhile, the automated embossing machine that can produce 12,000 plates per day is expected to be delivered in July. — Joan Nano | UNTV News & Rescue
