IT TOOK just 15 seconds for explosive striker Rhyle Lugo to dispose of veteran warrior Urtych Alarin in the main event of Prime Fight Championship (PFC) 2 - “Exodus” on Saturday night, June 25, 2022, at the Mabolo Sports Complex.

Lugo dropped Alarin with a solid roundhouse kick to the jaw that forced referee Lemuel Maglinte to quickly intervene and stop the fight.

Lugo, who fights out of Vagabond MMA, may transition into the pro ranks after dominating the local amateur MMA scene.

“I’ll rest first. We have an event in Bacolod. I think this will be my pro debut,” Lugo said after the fight.

Meanwhile, Lugo’s Vagabond MMA teammate Mark Cuizon walked out of the ring with his hand raised after a hard-fought unanimous decision over fellow ONE Warrior Series fighter Allan Albindo.

Albindo, who fights out of Survival MMA, had a strong start and dominated Cuizon with some vicious ground-and-pound in the opening round.

Albindo continued where he left off in the opening round and took Cuizon down in the second round.

Cuizon, however, scrambled his way up. Albindo landed a spinning elbow that stunned Cuizon.

Cuizon retaliated with a solid knee and then a one-two punch that got Albindo’s attention. Cuizon finished the second round strong with a solid leg kick and a takedown.

In the third round, Albindo connected with a solid left hook to the jaw but Cuizon countered with a stiff right.

Cuizon finished the third round strong with a takedown and some punches on the ground.

All three judges were in unison and scored the fight with identical scores of 29-28.

Albindo asked for an immediate rematch after the fight and Cuizon acknowledged and seemed to like the idea.

In the MMA undercard, Francis “Bahaw” Pasayloon scored a quick submission with a D’Arce choke on Francis Quilaquiga, EJ Patron trounced Benjie Burlaos with a rear-naked choke in the third round, Tim Rama scored a first-round stoppage of Marvin Verano, and Jalanie Sumagayan scored a technical knockout over John Cordura.

In the kickboxing undercard, Clythe Ang beat Brian Don Alexadra Villarin by default in a ladies lightweight fight, Norman Yrastorza beat Sonny John Omnos by unanimous decision and Marcos Congmon stopped Justin Laganhon in the second round.
