Ma, son murdered by latter’s lover to be buried January 7

THE mother and her son who were murdered by the latter’s male partner will be brought to their final resting place on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

A mass will be held at 3 p.m. at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish for Emma Englis, 70, and her 39-year-old son Alain Paul prior to their burial at the Calamba cemetery.

Renalyn Omangay, youngest child of Emma, said relatives and friends will pay tribute to their departed loved ones on Friday evening, the last day of the vigil.

When asked about her comment on the murder suspect, 27-year-old Jumbe Capin Olarita, Omangay said: "Maayo unta sir nga mabun-og siya sa prisohan (It would be good sir that he would be beaten in jail)."

Major Alvin Llamedo, chief of Talamban Police Station 8, meanwhile, said a double homicide murder case, which is not bailable, has already been filed at the fiscal’s office against Olarita on Wednesday, January 4.

To recall, Emma and her son Alain Paul died after they were stabbed by the latter’s lover on New Year’s Eve in Villa Leyson, Barangay Bacayan, Cebu City.

Omangay said that based on the accounts from her relatives, her brother and Olarita were reportedly arguing prior to the killing. (BBT, TPT)
