MANILA, Philippines – Residents affected by the wrath of Typhoon Ursula are assured of financial assistance from the government, Malacañang confirmed Thursday (December 26).
The typhoon has devastated parts of Eastern Visayas and Southern Luzon where casualties were also reported.
“During this time of calamities, all the agencies involved in the rehabilitation, in helping, assisting, are all in placed,” assured Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo.
Panelo did not clarify, however, if President Rodrigo Duterte would be visiting the typhoon-hit areas. — MNP (with details from Rosalie Coz)
