A 20-YEAR-OLD man was arrested by operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (Racu) Central Visayas in Lapu-Lapu City after he allegedly threatened his 19-year-old girlfriend that he would post their sex videos if she would leave him.

But Anthony (not his real name) denied the allegations made by his then girlfriend, Mary (not her real name), adding it was Mary’s idea to take videos of them having sex as a sort of fetish.

Mary’s family sought Racu 7’s intervention after Anthony reportedly threatened Mary on Jan. 1, 2020 to have sex with her or else, he would upload their sex videos on social media.

After receiving the complaint, Racu 7 operatives conducted an entrapment in Barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City where they arrested Anthony.

Mary’s family told police that aside from taking videos of them having sex, Anthony reportedly practices “sadism” by torturing Mary so he can experienced sexual arousal.

When Mary decided to break up with Anthony, he threatened to post their sex videos if she proceeds with her plan.

But in a separate interview, Anthony denied what his girlfriend claimed against him.

Anthony told Superbalita Cebu that he intentionally sent his sex videos to Mary’s relatives as he was concerned that she was no longer taking his calls and text.

“I admit to doing it because she wouldn’t call me or chat me. She didn’t even bother to ask me how I was. For me, I thought that she lost interest in me,” Anthony said.

But despite what he did, Anthony denied he planned to upload the sex video to a porn site.

Anthony said it was Mary’s idea to take videos of them having sex and even forced him to practice sadism just to experience what it was.

Anthony has sought Mary’s forgiveness and even said he plans to marry her if she will not push through with the charges.

Separately, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan said he is ready to provide assistance to Mary by having her assessed before the City Social Welfare Office.

“We can give them assistance. One of these days we will visit the victim so we can provide support for her,” Chan said, in Cebuano. (GPL, AYB, NDT / JKV)
