Man’s body dumped in mountain village

THE body of a man was found dumped along the roadside in Transcentral Highway in Sitio Tupas in the mountain barangay of Taptap, Cebu City.

Police Major Alvin Llamedo, chief Talamban Police Station 8, said the residents discovered the body Friday at 6 a.m., December 2, 2022, but they were only informed by the village chief around 7 a.m.

The police are still trying to establish the identity of the victim as nobody in the area was able to recognize him.

There were also no wallet or other documents recovered from his pocket that would lead to his identification.

The victim, estaimated to be 40 years old, had a chicken tattoo on his right arm.

He was wearing a white sleeveless shirt and a denim short with his both arms and feet tied and his head wrapped in a small sack colored red.

The police are conducting an investigation to establish the motive of the killing.

They believe that the victim was dumped in the area after being salvaged. (BBT, TPT)
