Man nabbed hours after ‘raping’ woman in Bohol

A 59-YEAR-OLD woman went to a police station in Bilar town, Bohol province on Wednesday afternoon, November 23, 2022, to ask for help after she was allegedly raped by her neighbor.

Police Corporal Marga Hyacinth Quinar of the Women's and Children Protection Desk of Bilar Police Station said in an interview with SunStar Cebu that the victim, only identified as Maria (not her real name), reported to their station past 5 p.m. after the incident.

Maria narrated to the police that around 3 p.m. while she was going to her farm where she also resides, a man wearing a red t-shirt dragged her toward the bushes and started molesting her.

The victim was able to identify the suspect through the color of the t-shirt that he wore.

The 31-year-old suspect was arrested in a hot pursuit operation at 6 p.m. of the same day.

Quinara said they caught the suspect at the same spot where the incident took place.

She said the suspect, who was under the influence of liquor, was about to flee. (BBT, TPT)
