MANDAUE City now has an 86 percent recovery rate in its coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases.
As of Sept. 7, 2020, the city had 1,839 recoveries out of the 2,139 total confirmed Covid-19 cases, the Mandaue City Public Information Office reported on its Facebook page.
The city had 198 total active cases and 102 deaths.
Of the city’s 27 barangays, the five barangays with the most number of recoveries were Looc, 123; Subangdaku, 121; Cabancalan, 85; Paknaan, 78; and Maguikay, 77.
The Mandaue City Jail had 240 recoveries. The facility had only one active case and one death as of Sept. 7.
The barangays with active cases in double digits were Cabancalan, 17; Jagobiao, 15; Maguikay, 11; Subangdaku, 11; Casuntingan, 11; Canduman, 10; and Tipolo, 10.
As for the total confirmed Covid-19 cases per barangay, the villages with the most cases were Looc, 138; Subangdaku, 137; Cabancalan, 104; Casuntingan, 91; Banilad, 90; and Maguikay, 90; and Paknaan, 88.
Regarding mortalities, Tawason and Tingub were the only villages that reported no Covid-19 deaths.
Barangay Looc had the most number of deaths—12.
