Mandaue logs 9 new Covid-19 cases; total now at 521

NINE new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) were reported Friday, June 19, in Mandaue City.

The Mandaue City Public Information Office (PIO) said in a Facebook post that the new cases are all from the community.

They were identified as patient MC513, a 72-year-old male from Barangay Pagsabungan; MC514, a 65-year-old female; MC515, a 52-year-old female; MC516, a 28-year-old female; MC517, a 28-year-old male, all from Sitio Salvacion, Barangay Maguikay; MC518, a 72-year-old male from Liona Ext., Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Alang-Alang; MC519, a 29-year-old female from 6191 Barangay Pagsabungan; MC520, a 34-year-old female from Purok 4, Barangay Cubacub; and MC521, a 41-year-old male from H. Cortes St., Barangay Cabancalan.

Personnel of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office will decontaminate the patients' residences, said the Mandaue City PIO.

The patients' contacts have also been traced.

Mandaue City has a total of 521 confirmed Covid-19 cases, as of June 19. (KFD)
