NEWLY appointed Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) chief Police Colonel Jeffrey Caballes vowed Monday, August 8, 2022, to prioritize strengthening police visibility in the city.

Caballes told reporters on Monday, August 8, 2022, that he will implement this to ensure the city's utmost security.

This, he added, can be done through mobile patrol, foot patrol, and regular checkpoints.

He also said that he would look into the existing MCPO programs and continue them especially if they concern the welfare of the Mandauehanons.

Caballes was formally introduced as the new MCPO officer-in-charge following the directive of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Visayas in a ceremony held last August 3.

He is set to have a courtesy call with Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes within the week.

Caballes replaced Police Colonel Roland Bulalacao, who would be assuming his former position as the head of the Regional Operations Division of PRO-Central Visayas. (HIC)
