In a previous post written on Instagram before the final, de Leon shared, "I loved every moment of [the pageant]; the good and the bad. It has made me a stronger, wiser, and empowered woman. More than I thought I ever could be. It has taught me to push my limits, to break down walls, to fight harder, to take risks, and to be courageous. I am proud of the woman I have become."

The crown was recently won by Indonesian beauty, Kevin Lilliana, who succeeds previous Miss International, Kylie Versoza of the Philippines.

On the other hand, de Leon's father, actor Christopher de Leon, shared that the beauty queen will resume her work, filming Coco Martin's "Ang Panday" as soon as she gets back to the Philippines.
