The grand final of The Masked Singer is almost upon us – but across the pond, The Masked Singer US is still unmasking its celebrity contestants left, right, and centre. And, as ever, the show's latest reveal has stunned judges and viewers alike.
After only a few weeks of wild speculation, the identity behind the US series' Miss Monster costume has been confirmed – and in not-at-all surprising news, the judging panel had been way off the mark with their guesses.
So, was Miss Monster Mary J Blige or Queen Latifah? Nope. Could it have been Dolly Parton, Celine Dion, or even Gloria Gaynor? No, no, and no.
Because Miss Monster was in fact funk legend Chaka Khan.
Speaking to Billboard about her stint on The Masked Singer, Chaka Khan – otherwise known as Yvette Marie Stevens – admitted that it had been "the weirdest" gig of her career.
"It was really a labour of love," she added. "Some kind of labour. It was really harder than I thought it would it be. It's a lot of work."
Meanwhile in the UK, Denise van Outen has been sharing her guesses for the show's three remaining contestants after being eliminated as the Fox last weekend. Her theory on Queen Bee might just surprise you.
The Masked Singer UK's grand final airs this Saturday (February 15) at 7pm on ITV.
