MANILA, Philippines —Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte threw emotional words toward House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez on social media, Thursday.
In the presidential daughter’s post, she was very disappointed after Alvarez called her an opposition after she created a political party called Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP).
She even questioned the previous statement of Alvarez that he can impeach the president.
Mayor Duterte also said in one of her posts that somebody should tell the president what Alvarez is doing.
The issue came about when Alvarez was asked on Thursday concerning his reaction to the newly-created political party headed by Mayor Duterte.
The speaker responded saying, “Doon natin makikita na sa pulitika yung tinatawag nila minsan dynasty-dynasty. Alam mo hindi sa lahat ng panahon ay tama yun. Kahit na mag-ama yan, kahit na—minsan hindi tayo nagkakasundo. Magkapatid naglalaban sa pulitika. Paano natin pigilin yun? Sila mismo naglaban-laban di ba?”
( In politics, we see that what they sometimes call “dynasty” is not entirely true all the time. Fathers and children do not agree all the time. Even siblings fight in politics. They themselves clash.)
In a text message that the speaker sent out on Thursday, he denied all accusations that Mayor Sara has stated.
The official statement of Mayor Sara Duterte also said that the creation of their party has the blessing of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The mayor added that the president even approved the use of the word Hugpong as the name of their regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
She also said that she specifically informed the president that she will not be joining the PDP Laban. — Aiko Miguel | UNTV News & Rescue
