Popping in here with a very important PSA: Meghan Markle and Michelle Obama met for the first time IRL on Monday night (3 December) during the London stop on Michelle's Becoming book tour. Please take a second to digest this news and maybe grab a paper bag for breathing.
Meghan attended the event and then the two met privately afterward. Considering they're two of the most well-known women in the world, it makes sense that they talked about how to help others like them.
"They spoke at length about the importance of supporting and empowering women across all cultures and communities," a source told the Evening Standard. "They also talked about shared experiences of pregnancy and raising children, plus shared causes including girls' education."
SO CUTE. AH. In case you forgot, Michelle and Barack are already tight with a few members of the royal family. Remember when Prince George stayed up late to meet them and the world was gifted this adorable photo?
And you know Harry and Michelle are already besties.
Meghan, who's obviously American herself, makes an excellent addition to this dream crew.
This meeting comes just days after Michelle gave Meghan some high-quality advice in the pages of Good Housekeeping. "Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt that she'd have a life like this, and the pressure you feel - from yourself and from others - can sometimes feel like a lot," she said.
File this under: friendships you didn't know you needed but now passionately support.
