Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (AKA Meghan Markle) wears a navy blue coat with a matching headpiece to attend a Remembrance Day service with Prince Harry at Westminster Abbey

We'd recently got wind that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were due to appear at multiple Remembrance Day services this weekend (alongside Kate Middleton and Prince William) but Meghan and Harry have just gone and stepped out even earlier than we'd anticipated.
Today the new parents paid their respects at the 91st Field of Remembrance, held at Westminster Abbey. Of course, for such a commemorative occasion it makes sense that the royals would opt for a more muted darker colour palette, and they did just that. Harry wore his military uniform, while Meghan donned a more understated, yet incredibly elegant, look.
The Duchess arrived wearing a textured navy overcoat, cinched at the waist with a belt to add extra shape, paired with a classic black midi skirt. As for the accessories, Meghan leaned into the black leather trend, wearing knee-high heeled boots and gloves in the same material. To finish it all off, she added a deep navy velvet headpieces with a bow and intricate mesh detailing across the front and, of course, a red poppy on her lapel.
I'm going to put it out there and say that this is, quite possibly, one of Meghan's best looks to date. Aside from perfectly ticking off the 'event-appropriate' box, the Duchess also pulls the whole thing together so effortlessly we can't stop staring at the outfit.
Here's the duo together:
Honestly though, Meghan is radiant:
Don't even get me started on those boots:
