Men Rescue Kangaroo Stranded in Canberra Lake

A trio of men in Canberra rescued a kangaroo stranded in the shallow waters of Lake Burley Griffin in the Australian capital on September 21.

The kangaroo was spotted in the lake as the sun was rising on what was a very cold morning.

Video taken by David Boyd shows two of the men cautiously venture into the water to pick up the kangaroo, while another helps it back onto the land.

“Well done to these two guys absolute champions – bloody freezing – good news the kangaroo came good,” Boyd wrote in a Facebook post. Credit: David Boyd via Storyful
