Miado faces Williams in ONE on Prime 3

Thailand-based Filipino warrior Jeremy Miado looks to break into the top five of the strawweight division as he takes on No. 5 ranked Aussie Danial Williams in the undercard of ONE on Prime 3 on Oct. 22 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

The 29-year-old Miado is riding on a three-fight winning streak and is in a crucial and dangerous fight against the hard-hitting Williams. Since losing to former strawweight king Dejdamrong Amnuaysirichoke in 2019, he has been impressive so far and stopped Chinese fighter Li Tao Miao twice and Lito Adiwang, who suffered an unfortunate knee injury in the second round of their fight.

The 29-year-old Williams is also on a streak of his own. After losing to Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a Muay Thai fight, Williams won his next three MMA fights. He stopped Dejdamrong, beat Namiki Kawahara by unanimous decision and destroyed Zelang Zhaxi in one round.

Miado is 11-4 with six knockouts and a submission, while Williams is 6-1 with five knockouts.

The winner of the fight will be a step closer at a title shot, which is currently around the waist of Team Lakay’s Joshua Pacio.

Pacio is set to defend his ONE strawweight belt against No. 1 contender Jarred Brooks on Dec. 3 in Manila. Currently sitting at No. 2 is Bokang Masuyane, No. 3 is Hiroba Minowa and No. 4 is Gustavo Balart.

In the main event, John Lineker (35-9) defends his ONE bantamweight belt against fellowBrazilian Fabricio Andrade (8-2).

ONE lightweight kikcboxing champion Regian Eersel (58-4) takes on Thai challenger Sinsamut Klinmee (80-16-3) in the co-main feature.

Also in the undercard, Kade Ruotolo (22-2) faces Uali Kurzhev in a grappling fight; Panpayak Jitmuangnon (248-41-3) takes on fellow Thai Superlek Kiatmoo9 (130-29-4) in a Muay Thai contest; and Korean Kim Jae Woong (12-5) locks horns with unbeaten Russian Shamil Gasanov (12-0) in a featherweight MMA bout. /
