Based on Peña’s order, all casual and job order employees are “subject to evaluation based on ethical standards and maintenance of public integrity in the performance of their duties.”

Peña added that applicants who “possess high moral values and unquestionable loyalty” will be given preference during the reapplication process.

Peña issued the order in preparation for the assumption of office of his successor, incoming town mayor and lawyer Rajiv Enad.

But Peña clarified that the order was not aimed at firing any of their existing casual, coterminus and job order employees but only in compliance with the DILG’s orders.

Peña said applicants are required to submit an application letter and personal data sheet to the town’s Human Resource Management Office before

June 15.
