MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has reminded motorists that the number coding scheme for private and public utility vehicles will be lifted in several dates this week and the next in light of the holiday season.
In an advisory, the MMDA said the number coding scheme for private and other public utility vehicles will be suspended from December 23 to 25, 2019, from December 30 to 31, and January 1, 2020.
Meanwhile, the number coding policy for provincial buses is suspended from December 23 to 27, 2019, from December 30 to 31, 2019, and from January 1 to 2, 2020.
The MMDA said this is to accommodate more passengers that may travel to provinces and back to spend the holidays.
