Speaking to her 1.6 million YouTube subscribers, the reality star slash influencer slash creative director shared details of her procedure and recovery. "The operation was way, way harder to go through than I thought," she said, "My recovery time was quite a bit longer than I had planned, and I was just a bit of a mess after that surgery."
The 22-year-old continued: "A lot of the things I’ve been talking to you guys about recently is like, my health is not great, I’ve been dealing with this, I’ve been dealing with that… But my endometriosis operation is the last now. I am done, hopefully I never have to see my doctor’s surgery or the hospital that I go to for a long time!"
Although she didn't elaborate too much abour her surgery or how she's been holding up since, she promised her followers a Q&A session where she'd go into more detail about her endometriosis journey.
In recent months, Molly-Mae has opened up to her fans about her health struggles, particularly her experience with endometriosis. In a YouTube video posted during the summer, she announced she'd been diagnosed with the condition, which causes tissue similar to the lining of the womb to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Speaking about how painful the condition can be, the ex-Love Islander described endometriosis period pains as "on the same level as labour." She added, "I obviously don’t know what labour feels like but they’re to the point I literally can’t stand up, I’m screaming in pain, no painkiller will make me feel any better, I have to take days and days off work. I feel like I’ve been in a car crash after I’ve been on my period, it’s not normal."
As well as her endometriosis surgery, the influencer went under the knife again just last month to remove a lump from her breast. Chatting to her 6.1 million Instagram followers, Molly-Mae opened up on her Story about the procedure. "I spoke about a lump I found in my boob on a recent vlog of mine, well I had it removed today," she said, before stressing "Check your bodies people!"
