Have a more relaxing day with these tips!

·3 min read

SOMETHING as simple as getting stuck in traffic or traveling on a hot day is enough to stress anyone out. It's a good thing that there are plenty of ways to alleviate the effects of stress, especially now, where most students are on a well-deserved summer vacation.

In Nueva Ecija, the #RelaxscentBuddy team gave out free Menthol + Camphor + Eucalyptus Oil (Efficascent Relaxscent Oil) to many tricycle drivers via their sticker marketing campaign.

This on-the-go roll-on liniment helps relieve the effects of stress, such as a pounding headache, and has a calming mixture of peppermint and eucalyptus scents for an overall #RelaxscentExperience!

Menthol + Camphor + Eucalyptus Oil (Efficascent Relaxscent Oil) has a cooling effect when applied on the skin, which helps in countering the heat and gives the feeling of relaxation, especially during warmer days.

And just like many of the tricycle driver friends from Nueva Ecija, students too can achieve a #RelaxscentExperience during their school break with these five tips:

Tip #1: Put on some sunscreen

While basking in the sun has its benefits—such as vitamin D—overexposure to UV rays can spell trouble for the skin. Some of these risks include sunburn, premature aging and skin cancer. So when going out, make sure to put on an extra layer of protection.

When it comes to what type of sunscreen to use, the Center for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) recommends an SPF of 15 or higher. These protect against ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays which can cause serious damage to your skin’s DNA.

Tip #2: Bring an on-the-go cooling buddy

It's a good idea to carry something that cools down one's temperature, like a foldable fan or a rechargeable portable fan. Plus, taking along Menthol + Camphor + Eucalyptus Oil (Efficascent Relaxscent Oil) is a bonus that can help make all the difference!

Heading off to the next destination sounds exciting, but it can also feel tiresome, especially when you’re carrying your luggage! Fret not. Menthol + Camphor + Eucalyptus Oil (Efficascent Relaxscent Oil) helps relieve your stress with its cooling sensation and relaxing scent. It even comes with a roll-on applicator that makes it super easy to use!

Tip #3: Shade? Cool!

Whether someone seeks thrills or prefers to 'chill,' staying under shaded areas is a helpful way to hide from the blazing heat and minimize the risk of sunburn and dehydration.

Additionally, making sure that places on the itinerary—like a café, restaurant, museum, or church—are well-ventilated and provide enough cover against the scorching sun.

Tip #4: Comfort first, fashion later

Wearing clothes that make one feel and look good is a huge confidence booster. However, it's best to consider wearing something comfortable, especially under the sun.

Go for loose-fitting clothes like short-sleeve button-ups, wide-leg pants and tank tops. And to make it a bit more lively, choose clothes with light colors to help reflect light and heat. Pastel tones? Yes, please!

Additionally, choose clothes made from cotton, linen, or silk because these trap moisture and allow the skin to breathe. Top it off with some shades and a chic hat to help protect the head and neck from the blazing heat.

Tip #5: Drink lots of water!

From taking hikes in the mountains, riding a bicycle or strolling through botanical gardens, staying hydrated is essential in keeping one invigorated.

There are many benefits to drinking water: it helps flush out bacteria, regulate body temperature, carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells, aid digestion and normalize blood pressure.

Taking a sip of water is essential to help keep one going. Bring a water bottle whenever, and wherever, to help minimize pollution and maximize ecological sustainability.
