Morning blaze leaves P1M worth of damage in Jagna, Bohol

A FIRE that struck Barangay Pahina in the town of Jagna, Bohol on Thursday morning, September 22, 2022, left P1 million worth of damage.

Fire Officer 2 Lito Acebes of the Jagna Fire Station told SunStar Cebu they received the alarm at 6:53 a.m. but immediately raised it to third alarm so firefighters from neighboring towns could help put out the blaze.

The fire razed a one-story building owned by Emie Lloren, 61, that also housed a tailoring shop.

According to Acebes, the fire was placed under control at 7:25. Fire out was declared five minutes later.

In their initial investigation, the fire started in the kitchen.

Investigators are still trying to determine if the fire was caused by unattended cooking. (BBT/PJB)
