If you cast your mind back to summer 2020, you might remember the polka dot culottes from Marks & Spencer that sold out in record time.
And it's little wonder, given that culottes are an ideal spring/summer garment, as they work for any occasion, whether that is for the office or a party.
They are a super versatile wardrobe staple, easily paired with trainers and a T-shirt, or heels for a more glamorous affair.
Why we rate it:
Firstly, we're a fan of anything animal print, and already have a wardrobe full of leopard patterns, so this makes for a welcome change.
The flattering high waist design with elasticated detailing makes these culottes both comfortable and easy to move around in - ideal whether you're lounging in the garden or meandering around your neighbourhood.
Plus, they've got pockets (always a bonus!) and are made from sustainably-sourced material.
For only £19.50, they're definitely an affordable sartorial pick me up, which we'll be adding to our basket ASAP.
What the reviews say:
"Great alternative to a skirt for summer. Cool, floaty and comfortable. Great waistband and lovely length. The material is quite thin, so be aware if you buy the lighter colour way."
"Bought both patterns in these very comfy and on trend wide leg trousers. The elasticated waist isn't fussy or old fashioned looking and the waist band sits flat and comfortably. I bought these as an alternative to a skirt and they go with trainers, light coloured summer ankle boots and sandals, of course when weather permits! They are true to size, I purchased size 14. I am quite tall and are a good length sitting just below the calf."
"Not worn them yet but I love them, they will be great for warmer days. They are very comfortable and look good too (not just my opinion). Great price too. Well done M&S."
