Back in January, MyPhone silently released the Tierra MyPad 3, a 10-inch tablet with a quad-core processor and a SIM slot for P12,888. It's been barely two months since that device hit the Philippine market, but we're already looking at a successor in the form of a (surprise, surprise!) smaller tablet.
Meet the 7.85-inch MyPhone Tierra MyPad 4, another quad-core powered slate capable of making calls, sending texts, and browsing the Web through mobile data. It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and is already available in the Philippines for a pretty reasonable price of P9,988.
The MyPhone Tierra MyPad 4 is more of a successor in name, though, as it doesn't actually improve on the insides of its predecessor, save for a minor spec bump in the rear camera. The 7.85-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,024 x 768 is paired with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to an additional 32GB, thanks to microSD expansion. There's GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 as well as support for USB OTG [On-The-Go].
The rear camera has an 8-megapixel sensor, while the front-facer is equipped with a 5-megapixel module, which can record videos up to 720p. The battery is rated at 4,500mAh.
